Shoe lifts come in basically two forms:The first type is an insert that slides into your existing shoes. These are little more than a sloped riser that can give you anywhere from half an inch to two inches in your appearance of height. The second type of shoe lift is an actual customized shoe that has the riser built right in. This second type of shoe lift is able to give up to four inches in additional height because it is not constrained by the confines of the open area of the shoe.In choosing between both types, you have to consider the pros against the cons. The list of pros for the insert shoe lift is that you can use it with just about any of your current shoes, its cheaper, and you are not limited to the styles that the makers of custom shoe lifts put out. The biggest con is that you are limited to about two inches or less of added height appearance. Custom shoes have the pro of the potential for added inches, but they are much more expensive and your selection of shoes is dependent on the styles that the manufacturer makes. That means that you can no longer buy and wear any conventional shoe that you see and like because you are now limited to wearing shoe lifts indefinitely because you have publicly shown the world that you are falsely two to four inches taller than you really are. And therein lies the problem. Wearing these contraptions are akin to wearing a bad toupee. Instead of addressing the problem by focusing your efforts on increasing your height naturally through height increasing exercises, nutrition, and stretches, you are merely using a band aid solution. You are now a slave to your shoes, particularly around people that don't know about your "little secret." You must always have your shoe lifts on at all times lest someone notice your lack of height from when they saw you with them on before. This can no doubt lead to very precarious and uncomfortable situations when it comes time to become intimate with a potential partner. How would you explain how you were suddenly four inches shorter just because you took your shoes offIf you are uncomfortable with your current height, shoe lifts are not the answer. Only true, natural height increase can truly make you taller.

The quickest way to solve foot and back pain is to purchase a pair of shoe insoles for poor fitting shoes. Shoe insoles are sold in a variety of forms and for a plethora of purposes. They range from athletic support, to back pain relief, to even freshening the smell of your favorite sneakers. Choosing the right insole for you can be difficult, but here are some tips for selecting the insole that will best fit your needs.1) Define your complaint-- Are you feet tired after a long day standing on them at work Do you have back pain after walking short distances Are you training for a marathon and have sore calves Determining what you want your insole to do is the first step in choosing the correct insole.2) Determine your price range-- Insoles run the gambit of price ranges these days, from the very basic discount insoles, (usually a thin sheet of foam) to the moderately priced custom made arch support like those found at several online stores. At the high end of the scale are the prescription orthotics from an orthopedic doctor.3) Break them in-- Don't go out for an eight hour day on your feet with your new insoles right away, especially if they are custom made. You will want to break them in just like you would a good pair of shoes. If you buy them at a chain store, you can trim them down to fit your shoes to get the best fit.By following these tips you are more likely to find the shoe insole that best fits your needs. You will find that with the proper insole, your foot pain will vanish, you'll have better posture, and the energy that seemed to be sapped through your feet each day will revive. With all that added energy and being pain free, there is no limit to what you can accomplish!
Parents of young girls want their daughters to wear bras that are appropriate to their age, but in recent years this has started to become something of an issue, as most bras made for the teen market are made in small back and cup sizes. So whilst getting a 28AA or a 32B has been relatively easy, larger cup and back sizes have been harder to find. The reality is, that there are 12 and 13 year old girls who may need a C or a D Cup and be a 36 or 38 back. In the past the choice has been limited and often the options have been a soft cup bra, designed with possibly their grandparents in mind or an underwired bra, that may be that little bit too 'adult' for their parents liking. It has taken a while but this issue has now been addressed with a new range from Royce Lingerie. The Pretty n Pink is a lightly padded soft cup bra made in sizes 28 to 38 A to D. It comes in a twin pack with one bra plain white and ideal for school and the second bra in pink print with black bows. For those of you who want to know a bit more about the issues surrounding first bra please read on, as I have re-posted a previous blog on this issue. First bras or bras for teenagers invariably tend to be soft cup (no wires). Many people believe that wires are not safe for young girls wearing their first bras, as they can trap breast tissue, glands or milk ducts, thus causing potential future problems. However the reality is that underwired bras are not dangerous for any bra wearers and the wire offers added support to the bra cup. However, wire or no wire, you have to find what's most comfortable for you. Having a well-fitting bra is important. Most women wear the wrong bra size because they don't get properly fitted and this equally applies to young girls. So although it may seem embarrassing, it is really important to be fitted properly, by a qualified fitter. (Try and steer clear of department stores offering fitting services as staff are not always experienced or properly trained.) You need to ensure that the bra is not only comfortable, but that it should offer plenty of support and be flattering too. Most bras lose their fit and shape in six months, so it is important to change them regularly. For adults, if you lose or gain weight your bra size will change too - so it's important to get fitted for a bra at least every 12 months. However for growing girls, their breast size can change more rapidly, as well as growing more generally and possibly needing a larger backsize. It is therefore really important that young girls are checked for size more frequently, especially if they are wearing under wired bras. It is for this reason that soft cup bras are favoured for young girls, as changes in size are more easily accommodated by a soft cup bra, whereas, an underwired bra is likely to start to become uncomfortable as the size changes. So, although their may not be medical reasons for young girls not wearing underwired bras, wearing soft cup bras will help ensure that the bra is comfier for longer and will not need changing every two minutes.
